DELIVERING GREAT DESIGN ON A VERY VERY TIGHT SCHEDULE
The big challenge faced by Cipta Lima Design team in this project was to deliver the final design on a very very tight schedule - 10 days only (normally 8 weeks) - because the book was going to be launched on WIKA 45th anniversary ceremony.
Most of the book materials, along with a final book dummy/comps have been prepared and provided by the Penerbit PPM team. But since the client wanted the book look exclusive and well-designed, we then practically have to rebuild it from scratch again.
Not only the grid, layout, color tone and typography had to be changed. The book cover design, chapter opening pages and every single diagrams included had to be remade as well. There were a total of 15 chapters, 272 pages and about 50 diagrams that had to be redesigned.
Seemed to be a daunting task at that time, the project can be done on time, and the book finally can be launched at the same time with the corporate anniversary ceremony.
